Flokk (HÅG, RH)

The Norwegian group behind HÅG and RH. Its chairs are made in Røros and Nässjö, ship with EPDs, and come with a 10-year spare-parts guarantee.

The Norwegian home of the Balans kneeling chairs (Variable, Thatsit) and the Move stool, designed in Norway and, per its product pages, made in Poland.

The Nordic labels you'll see

  • Möbelfakta: a Swedish ISO 14024 Type I label owned by IVL and the Swedish furniture federation TMF, covering quality to European standards, environment and supply chains.
  • Nordic Swan Ecolabel: criteria 031 for furniture and fitments (version 6.1, valid to 2029) cover certified wood, banned chemicals, a quality test, and warranty and spare-parts requirements. RH's Logic factsheet shows the label, but the current product page does not list it, so we do not count it.
  • EU Ecolabel: HÅG holds a certificate linked from the Capisco and SoFi pages (expiring 31 December 2026), and Kinnarps holds licence SE/049/005.
  • EPD-Norge: the Norwegian EPD programme that registers the Flokk and Kinnarps declarations.

Where is the HÅG Capisco made?

The HÅG Capisco EPD gives Flokk’s plant in Røros, Norway, as the place of production. The same applies to HÅG SoFi and Futu.

Are Varier kneeling chairs made in Norway?

Varier’s product pages for Variable, Move and Thatsit say "Designed in Norway, made in Poland". The Variable EPD gives Varier’s Oslo address as the place of production, so the two sources differ.
