What we collect
There are no accounts, no comment boxes, no newsletters and no contact forms. Cookies are set only by Google Analytics, and only if you accept them (see below). There are no advertising or social-media trackers.
The fit checker and the price comparator run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent anywhere and are gone when you close the page.
Cookies and Google Analytics
Only if you accept in the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to measure which pages are read, where visits come from (for example search) and how long they last. Google Analytics then sets the cookies _ga and _ga_*, which last up to 2 years. Advertising signals are switched off and the data is not used for advertising.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules). If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page; the choice is stored only in your browser (localStorage). Google may process data outside the EU under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (see Google's privacy policy).
We also count visits anonymously with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no visitor profile. It records aggregate data such as page, country, device type and referrer, based on our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data that every web request contains, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. That processing is done by Cloudflare under its own terms; see the Cloudflare privacy policy. We do not receive a profile of you from Cloudflare and do not combine request data with anything else.
Links to other sites
Pages link to manufacturers, official brand stores, public authorities and, in some places, a retailer. When you follow a link, the other site's own privacy policy applies. Links to the retailer carry campaign tags in the address (for example utm_source=bestofficechairs.eu), so that site can see the visit came from here. The tags identify the page and link position, not you.
Fonts and other files
Fonts and diagrams are served from this site itself. No files are loaded from Google Fonts or other third-party servers.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR (and the UK GDPR). Analytics data is pseudonymous and held by Google; you can withdraw consent at any time through "Cookie settings". You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country if you think your data has been misused.
