You can download the full chair register as JSON or CSV and reuse it freely under CC BY 4.0, as long as you credit Best Office Chairs Europe with a link. It holds 38 chairs, their manufacturer-published specifications, the Spec Index, 157 official store prices and the sources for every value, checked 21 October 2026.

What manufacturers publish, chair by chairA matrix of 38 chairs and 11 fields (Seat height, Seat depth, Seat width, Overall height, Max user, Chair weight, Warranty, Standard, Made in, EPD, Price). 71% of the cells are published by the manufacturer; empty squares are values we could not find.Seat heightSeat depthSeat widthOverall heightMax userChair weightWarrantyStandardMade inEPDPrice1611162126313638 chairs × 11 fields · 71% publishedFILLED SQUARE: THE MANUFACTURER PUBLISHES IT
Each column is one chair in the register; a filled square means the manufacturer publishes that value.

Files

  • chairs.json: one record per chair, with nested specs, standards claims, environmental documents, every price row and source labels.
  • chairs.csv: one row per chair, 43 columns, UTF-8, comma-separated. Multi-value fields are separated by semicolons.

34 chairs have a Spec Index; kneeling chairs, saddles and stools are not scored. 25 chairs have at least one official store price. Both files are generated from the same register as the pages, so they always match what the site shows. Last updated .

Fields

CSV columns and what they contain

standards, environment_labels, epd_urlStandards and labels as the maker declares them, and the EPD link where one exists.
spec_index_*The Spec Index total (0–100) and its five parts, computed from the specs with the rubric on our method page. Empty for chairs we do not score.
price_*Official brand-store prices: the number of markets, the lowest and highest price in euro including VAT, which market, and the date read.
sourcesThe source documents for the chair, separated by spaces.

Lengths are in millimetres, weights in kilograms, warranties in years. Prices are converted to euro at the ECB reference rates of the date read; prices a store shows without VAT have the country’s standard VAT rate added. How each value is chosen, and how the Spec Index is computed, is set out on our method page.
