Herman Miller Aeron vs Steelcase Leap
A side-by-side reading of the manufacturers' own European data. Where one chair's published spec is better, it is marked; where data is missing, we say so.

The short answer
The two chairs solve fit differently.
On published specifications, the Aeron leads on seat-height span, lowest seat (shorter users), highest seat (taller users), max. user weight, third-party EPD; the Leap leads on seat depth adjustment, EN 1335 declared, lowest official price found, Spec Index.
The Aeron comes in three sizes with a fixed seat depth; the Leap is one size with an adjustable seat. For Europe, the Leap is made in Sarrebourg, France and declares EN 1335-1:2020, while the Aeron is made in Melksham, UK, and declares BIFMA testing.
