The short answer

Both are Herman Miller chairs built in Melksham for the European market, both with Europe-scope EPDs and 12-year warranties.

On published specifications, the Aeron leads on max. user weight, lowest official price found, Spec Index; the Embody leads on seat depth adjustment.

The practical difference in the data is fit: Embody has an adjustable seat depth in one size, while the Aeron uses three sizes with a fixed depth each. On the standard cylinder both reach 406–521 mm.

Spec Index

Points for what each maker publishes, using the same rules for every chair. A missing figure scores zero, so a low score can mean "not published" rather than "worse".

Spec Index: computed from published specifications only (rules). Not a comfort rating or a test result.
